Iraq extends flight ban to the first of next July

The Ministry of Transport and Communications in the Kurdistan Regional Government, today, Sunday, announced that the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority has decided to extend the flight ban period until the first of next July.

The ministry in a statement announced that the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority, based on the instructions of the Supreme National Safety and Health Commission of Iraq, decided to extend the flight ban period until the first of next July.

The statement added that the decision includes all domestic and foreign trips in Iraq and the Kurdistan region.

The statement pointed out that the decision excluded flights of cargo planes, relief organizations, health teams, and flights to return Iraqi citizens from abroad.
