Turkish army penetrates 50 km into the territory of Kurdistan Region

The Turkish army penetrated into the territory of the Kurdistan Region during the past two weeks, to a depth of 40 to 50 km, as part of a military operation called (Claw-Tiger) against the PKK militants.

Sky News Arabi, quoting a security source in the Kurdistan Region, announced that the Turkish army penetrated into the territory of the Kurdistan Region at a depth of 40 to 50 km in the framework of the military operation (Claw-Tiger) under the pretext of protecting its borders from the PKK.

The source added that the Kurdistan Regional Government requested the Iraqi central government to interfere in the issue of Turkish forces entering the territory of the Kurdistan Region and to respond to it.
