The Iraqi Army Chief of Staff today, Monday, arrived in Kirkuk and was received by the city's governor.

(Ain al-Iraq) the website announced that the Chief of Staff of the Iraqi Army, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Yarallah accompanied by Deputy Commander of Joint Operations and Commander of the Federal Police today, Monday, July 6, 2020, arrived in the city of Kirkuk.

They were received by the acting governor of Kirkuk, Rakan Jabouri, and the commander of Kirkuk operations, Saad Harbiyeh.

It is worth noting that the visit comes at a time when the movements of ISIS militants have increased in the Kirkuk region recently.
