KURDIU (Arbil): The Secretariat of the Sisters of the Kurdistan Islamic Union released a statement on the occasion of the International Women’s Day.

The organization believes that this occasion was a symbol of having equal rights for women and saying “No,” to tyranny.

The statement mentioned that the same discrimination and violations are occurs in these days against women, the situation of women have not improved.

The organization calls the community to avoid having violations against women in the society, and calls for tolerance and social justice.

On the other hand, the organization calls all related offices of the government to protect the rights of women in the society, find solutions for women issues and a way to resolve them.

The organization of Sisters of the KIU, in the statement has called different communities in the society to protect and respect the rights of women. They are calling for having toleration, protection of the women rights. The organization condemns honor killing and injustice against women.
