Minister of Natural Resources of the Kurdistan Regional Government (Ashti Hawrami) during a press conference held today with Turkish Energy Minister (Tan Yildiz): We have been engaged a joint project with Turkey to build a pipeline transporting oil directly from oil fields in Kurdistan to the Turkish port of Ceyhan, hoping to end this project by August of 2013.

 He also said, we hope to increase the level of our exports of oil in the Kurdistan region to one million barrels per day.
