Director of the Department combat violence against women in the Ministry of Interior announced to the (Sharqulawsat) newspaper that "during the month of April, in the Kurdistan region 218 cases of violence against women were registered."

 According to the Directorate Information the highest rate of violence against women registered in Arbil, which is (72) case, Sulaymaniyah (71) case, Dohuk (58) and Garmyan (17) case.
