Head of Sadr Trend (Muqtada al-Sadr) said that "in his first meeting in Erbil with Barzani and other officials discussed the issue of Kirkuk, but no one asked for annexation of Kirkuk to the Kurdistan region.

 In a news of Sumeria News that Moqtada al-Sadr during a television interview he said: "I say that Kirkuk will still an Iraqi city and will remain like any other Iraqi cities will live where Sunnis, Shiites, Kurds and Arabs.

 He also said that "the differences on the oil wealth of Kirkuk, not on the city itself".
