Ministry of Health in the government of the Kurdistan Region, Wednesday, announced for the registration of about five thousand people are living with cancer in the province of Kurdistan in 2011, as confirmed that high blood pressure is most prevalent in the region for the same year.
The Director of Information in the Ministry of Health (Doctor Khalis Qadir) in a statement to "Shafaq News", said that "official statistics recorded by the ministry in 2011 for chronic diseases in the region indicate recording 4891 cases of cancer," stressing that "high blood pressure comes in the first place in terms of the number of patients, followed by diabetes.
