The Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union (Muhammad Faraj) received a cable of congratulations from the President of the Republic of Iraq (Jalal Talabani) on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.

 According to the telegram that "he congratulates Secretary-General and the leadership and members and supporters of the Islamic Union of Kurdistan on the occasion of the advent of Eid al-Fitr, hoping that reflected the meaning of the feast on the consolidation of social,religious and political relations between the components of people, and the return of happiness and joy to the people of Kurdistan.
