Iraqi officials say two Iranian pilgrims visiting Shiite shrines in Iraq were killed when a bomb went off next to a minibus they were traveling in.
Police and medical officials in Baghdad say 18 other Iranians were wounded in Wednesday's explosion, as well as eight Iraqis who were nearby.
The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because the are not authorized to talk to the media.
The Iranians were traveling from the northern city of Samarra, which is home to a holy Shiite shrine, to another Shiite shrine in the Kazimiyah neighborhood in Baghdad.
They were about 15 miles northwest of Baghdad when the bomb went off.
