KURDIU (Erbil): Kurdistan Islamic Union information bureau congratulated Kurdish people on the occasion of Newroz, the Kurdish new year.

“We hope Newroz will be the start of a new year and bringing back the disputed areas”. The congratulation says.

In Kurdish legend, the holiday celebrates the deliverance of the Kurds from a tyrant; it coincides with the spring which falls mainly on 21 March.
