The Arab Council in Kirkuk, Tuesday, announced the release of 90 detainees from the prisons of the Kurdistan region on Tuesday.

The Council in a press conference, confirmed that the detainees were handed over to the security authorities in Kirkuk to resolve their files judicially, and that the launch of this group came after the numerous demands and demonstrations by the Arab Council in Kirkuk to demand the release of innocent detainees in the prisons of the region.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Interior in the Kurdistan region issued a clarification earlier in which confirmed the absence of any Arab detainee in the region, which made hundreds of families of detainees in Kirkuk to go out in a demonstration denouncing this clarification, demanding the release of their children or extradition to the judicial authorities.
