Council of Ministers of the Kurdistan Region issues several decisions

The Kurdistan Regional Council of Ministers decided on Wednesday to form a committee headed by the Prime Minister and the membership of his deputy and each of the ministers of interior, peshmerga, finance and economy, to follow the structure, expenses and steps of the reform project of the Ministry of Peshmerga and take the necessary action.

In another part of the meeting, the Minister of the Region for talks with the Federal Government Khalid Shwani presented a report on the decision of the Federal Supreme Court on the abolition of articles 12, 16 and 17 of Law No. (14) of 2019 on the amendment of the law of the provincial councils No. (12) of 2018.

The Council of Ministers discussed also the latest activities of the Constitutional Amendments Committee formed by the Iraqi Parliament , which held its first meeting, and the Council of Ministers discussed a draft law on the Iraqi legislative elections, and stressed the need to preserve the constitutional powers and rights of the Kurdistan Region.
