Former head of the Islamic movement in Kurdistan dies

The former head of the Islamic Movement in Kurdistan, Sheikh Siddiq Abdul Aziz, died today in the city of Sulaymaniyah after a struggle with illness.

Sheikh Siddiq was a great scholar of the city of Halabja, born in Halabja in 1939, and founded the Islamic Renaissance Movement in 1979.

He was the leader of the Islamic movement in Kurdistan for several years and died today 9 December 2019 in the city of Sulaymaniyah with an illness.
