Erbil calls Baghdad for dialogue

The Kurdistan Regional Government announced its readiness for dialogue with Baghdad in accordance with the Constitution in specific cases, at a time when the Peshmerga forces blocked the main roads between Kurdistan and Mosul.

The Kurdistan Regional Government - in a statement - specified the issues for dialogue which are : ports ,internal trade ,provide services to citizens and banks and the airport.

The statement stressed that the Kurdistan government is "serious" in calling for an "open dialogue with the Iraqi government to solve problems" and to prevent the "collective punishment".

The government of the region considered that "problems can not be solved through the blockade and collective punishment with the support of neighboring countries," referring to the actions taken by Turkey and Iran in response to the referendum.
