The Iraqi government, on Wednesday, decided to extend the air ban imposed on airports in the Kurdistan Region.

The site of Erbil airport in "Twitter" said that the federal government decided to extend the ban on airports Erbil and Sulaymaniyah for two additional months.

The new ban extends until February 28, 2018, the website said.

It is noteworthy that the Iraqi government decided to impose a ban on foreign flights on the airports of Erbil and Sulaymaniyah, in response to the Kurdistan Regional Government for holding the referendum at the end of last September.
