The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has announced special measures to resolve the issue of salaries and the austerity measures announced by the Kurdistan Regional Government.

The government said in a statement, the Council of Ministers said that revenues from the sale of Kurdistan oil will be allocated to salaries.

The provincial government says it now exports about 250,000 barrels per day (bpd), and that does not suffice to pay salaries.

The statement added that the council voted on a bill on the sale of all government vehicles consumed, except cars for public services, and approved the draft law on the protection of water and sewerage institutions and networks.
