The amnesty law enters into force in Kurdistan

A spokesman for the Ministry of Justice in the Kurdistan Regional Government, on Sunday, announced that the amnesty law voted by the parliament has entered into force after its publication in the Official newspaper .

The Parliament of Kurdistan has recently ratified the amnesty law and under its provisions will be released a large number of convicts and detainees in the prisons of the Kurdistan Region, in order to give them another opportunity to integrate into society.

In this regard, spokesman for the Ministry of Justice in the Kurdistan Regional Government Nariman Talib announced that after the Parliament of Kurdistan ratified the draft amnesty law, the ministry published it on its official site on 28 December and was published today in the official newspaper on Sunday.
