The border crossings authority denies news about the ports of the Kurdistan region

The border crossings authority, on Sunday, denied the news about its intention to receive the ports of the Kurdistan region tomorrow, as indicated that it is a periodic meeting of ports managers .

Director of the Department of Relations and Information in the Border Crossings Authority Colonel Mohammed al-Shuwaili in a statement Alsumaria News received a copy of it, said that "some media published a news that the federal government will announce tomorrow the receipt of crossings in the Kurdistan region," stressing that "this news is not true.

There are four official border ports in the region: the Ibrahim al-Khalil crossing on the Iraqi-Turkish border, Haj Omran crossing, Bashmakh and the Pruzkhan on the Iranian border, as well as the existence of a number of unofficial ports in the region not officially recognized by the federal government so far, Sirtsk, on Iranian border and the Serzir port on the Turkish border.
