Director of Sulaymaniyah International Airport Taher Abdullah announced the failure of all attempts by officials of the Kurdistan Regional Government to resume flights between Turkey and Sulaymaniyah.

At the beginning of June, Taher Abdullah pointed out that Sulaymaniyah airport has no technical and legal problems with Turkish airports, but Turkey does not agree to resume flights.

"Turkey, in addition to stopping its flights with Sulaymaniyah, has closed its air space for the European flights to Sulaymaniyah", the director added.
