Dispute between the parties on the results of the elections of the Kurdistan Parliament

The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan , on Tuesday, confirmed that all Kurdish parties will reject the results of the elections in the region after the official announcement, while the final results will be announced during the next two weeks.

PUK member Ghayath Surchi said in a press statement that "most of the Kurdish parties will reject the results of the elections in the region in the absence of exclusion of the contested ballot boxes ," pointing out that "a large number of electoral centers in Kurdistan was rigged."

He added that "the final results of the provincial elections will be announced during the next two weeks," noting that "Kurdish opposition parties and the PUK will reject the results of the elections in the absence of detection of fraud by the Commission."

On the other hand, the Kurdish blocs represented in the "Islamic Group", "Change Movement " and "the new generation movement," on Tuesday, submitted a request to form a fact-finding committee in the elections of the Kurdistan Regional Parliament, which took place on 30 September last.

These blocs submitted a request to the Ministry of Interior to form a fact-finding committee in the parliamentary elections of Kurdistan, pointing out the existence of violations.

The Electoral Commission in the Kurdistan Region, announced on the fourth of October, the results of the elections in the region.
