A Turkish soldier was killed and four others wounded Tuesday as a result of a rocket attack by the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).

According to officials in the city of Hakkari in southeastern Turkey, two missiles launched from the territory of Kurdistan on a Turkish military base, resulted in the killing of a soldier and wounding four others, including a civilian seriously injured.

Turkey resumed its military operations against Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants in 2015 after the collapse of the ceasefire agreement.
