An earthquake hits the border area between Iran and Iraq

The General Directorate of Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring of the Kurdistan Region announced that an earthquake hit the city of "Serpil Zahaw" on Sunday and the citizens felt it.

A magnitude 5.5 earthquake shook the area of ​​"Serpil Zahaw" on the border between Iran and Iraq on Sunday morning, according to a report released by the Directorate General of Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring.

The statement added that the earthquake was felt by citizens.
