Turkey lifts ban on Sulaymaniyah airport if PKK headquarters were closed

Turkish Ambassador to Iraq Fatih Yildiz said that the headquarters of the Kurdistan Freedom Movement Party should be closed in Sulaymaniyah city because of their linke to the Kurdistan Workers Party.

He added that the authorities in Sulaymaniyah had begun to close the headquarters of the PKK in the city ,if the headquarters were completely closed, Turkey would lift the ban on Sulaymaniyah International Airport and resume its flights to Turkey.

The ambassador pointed out that his country has no problems with the citizens of the city of Sulaymaniyah, but the issue concerns the city officials who allow the activities of the Kurdistan Workers' Party in the city.
