Seven PKK killed by Turkish shelling inside Kurdistan region

The Turkish Defense Ministry announced on Monday the killing of seven PKK militants in raids on the territory of the Kurdistan region.

Anadolu news agency quoted the Defense Ministry as saying in a statement that Turkish fighter jets launched raids on the party's positions in the Gara-Hakurk area yesterday.

It said that "the raids resulted in the killing of 7 PKK militants who were planning to carry out armed action against Turkish border posts."

The Turkish army has repeatedly launch raids and security operations against the positions of the PKK inside Turkey ,Iraq and Syrian territory since July 2015, when the PKK resumed its operations against the Turkish government.
