The Ministry of Interior uses electric cars

The Ministry of Interior in the Kurdistan region, Wednesday, announced the introduction of cars powered by electric to service, which is dedicated to the police and traffic police.

"We have reached an understanding with Toyota in Iraq in the experience of electric cars," General Director of the Ministry Sami Jalal told reporters. "The company has given the ministry three cars that will be used for 60 days for testing."

"If the test succeeded and the cars are good, we can take advantage of them we change the ministry cars to this type," he said.

"If these cars succeed in the experiment and the ministry decided to acquire them, then we will be an effective factor in reducing the pollution of the environment, reducing the use of fuel.
