The General Authority of Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring, Saturday, announced that the seismic observatories in the authority recorded today at 11:37:58 local time, an earthquake occurred in the town of Kalar in the province of Sulaymaniyah.

The Authority indicated in its report that "the earthquake strength reached (3.7) degrees on the Richter scale, indicating that it was felt by the citizens".

The report called on "citizens to take caution and avoid any rumors and false news".
