Health Directorate of Dohuk, Thursday, announced recording the first death among health workers due to Coronavirus.

Duhok Health Media Director Sadiq Muhammad Taher said that “Salim Farhan, one of the health workers in the X-ray department, died today due to Coronavirus.”

It is noteworthy that the number of Coronavirus infections has increased in Dohuk Governorate in recent times.

This is the eighth death recorded in Duhok with the Coronavirus since the outbreak of the pandemic, out of 902 confirmed cases, of which 405 patients have recovered so far.

Since the outbreak of the virus in the Kurdistan region, 15577 people have been infected, 9711 have recovered, and 597 have died, and 5296 patients are under medical care.
