Turkish warplanes bombed the Sidekan area in the Kurdistan region, killing and wounding a number of Iraqi officers of border guards.
Ihsan Chalabi, Director of Sidekan district, announced that Turkish warplanes today, Tuesday, bombed an Iraqi border guard vehicle.
He added that the bombing resulted in the death of a number of Iraqi Border Guard soldiers and officers, including the commander of the 3rd Border Guard Regiment, Brigadier Zubair Hali, in addition to the commander of the Second Border Guard Brigade.
It is worth noting that since June, Turkey launched a military operation against the PKK strongholds in the Kurdistan Region and penetrated into the territory of the Kurdistan Region.
