Turkish warplanes target a village north of Dohuk

Security sources said, on Saturday, that Turkish warplanes targeted a village in Zakho, in the Dohuk governorate.

The sources said, "The Turkish warplanes bombed the village of Ruissi in Batifa district of Zakho."

For its part, the Turkish Ministry of Defense announced that three PKK militants were killed in an airstrike in the Kurdistan region.

A statement by the ministry stated, "Turkish warplanes carried out an air operation in the Matina area in Dohuk, killing three PKK members," indicating that "the three elements were preparing to carry out an attack against Turkish targets."

Added, "The Turkish forces will continue their military operations against the PKK militants in the Kurdistan region."
