The Iraqi Joint Operations Command announced the withdrawal of army forces from the cities, in coordination between the Ministry of Defense and the Iraqi Ministry of Interior.

Major General Tahseen Al-Khafaji, the spokesman for the Iraqi Joint Operations Command, announced that the army forces withdrew from the cities in coordination between the Ministry of Defense and the Iraqi Ministry of Interior, the file for maintaining the security of cities was handed over to the forces of the Ministry of Interior.

He pointed out that the handover of the security file in all cities to the police ends in the coming days, and the duty of the joint operations forces at checkpoints inside the cities is only to provide assistance to the Interior Ministry forces.
