The Kurdistan Regional Government Ministry of Agriculture issues a statement about the outbreak of bird flu, announcing that the Control Committee of this disease is meeting today to take the appropriate decision.

Firas Siddiq, Director of Animal Resources in the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kurdistan Regional Government, announced today, Sunday, January 17, 2021, in a press conference, that bird flu has spread in several poultry fields in the governorates of Iraq and has caused the death of a large number of chickens.

He pointed out that bird flu has not reached the Kurdistan region yet and no case has been registered, and it is scheduled that the Control committee of this disease will meet today to take the appropriate decision.
