The General Authority for Mines Affairs of the Kurdistan Region announced the killing of 10 citizens and wounding 8 others during the year 2020 due to mines.

Obaid Ahmed, Director of Technical Affairs at the General Authority for Mines Affairs, announced that during the year 2020, 360 thousand and 696 square meters of land in the Kurdistan Region were cleared of mines.

He added that 10 citizens were killed and 8 others were wounded by mines during the past year in the Kurdistan Region.
