Kurdistan Region Statistics Authority announced that the majority of the population of the Kurdistan Region live in cities and more than a million people live in villages.

The Kurdistan Region Statistics Authority announced today, Monday, January 18, 2021, a census of the population of the Kurdistan Region for the year 2020, announcing that the population of the Kurdistan Region for the year 2020 is six million 171 thousand and 83 citizens.

The Authority added that of this number 98 thousand and 81 citizens are males, and three million 72 thousand and 282 citizens are female.
