Governor of Kirkuk: The Kurdistan region has become a drug-smuggling corridor

The governor of Kirkuk, Rakan Al-Jubouri, revealed, on Tuesday, that the Kurdistan region has become a corridor for drug smuggling to the center and south of the country.

Al-Jubouri said, "The smuggling of drugs from some countries that are a source of drugs to the Kurdistan region is easy."

Al-Jubouri added, "The drug smuggling operations take place after that from the Kurdistan region to the remaining provinces in central and southern Iraq."

The governor of Kirkuk added, "Most of the Iraqi provinces are suffering from the issue of drug smuggling, and its negative effects on the community."
