The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan region, Masrour Barzani, confirmed, on Tuesday, that the attack that targeted Erbil was a "terrorist" aimed at destabilizing the security of the region while indicating that ISIS is still threatening Kurdistan, Iraq and the whole world.

Barzani said during a press interview with "France 24", "The Kurdistan region will not condemn any party regarding the bombing of Erbil late last month," stressing that "the results of the investigation will be announced soon, and the perpetrators will be brought to justice."

In another context, he pointed out that "ISIS is still threatening Kurdistan, Iraq and the whole world, despite its previous defeat," indicating that "the organization was able to recruit new elements that enabled it to launch operations targeting security and civilians in several Iraqi regions."

As for the ongoing conflict between Turkey and the PKK, Barzani said, "Ankara exported its problem with the Workers' Party to Iraq years ago, and the continued fighting between the two sides will not lead to a solution."
