The European Union is scheduled to extend its sanctions on Iran for another year, and to include a number of other figures on the sanctions list.

Reuters news agency, quoting a number of European diplomats, announced that the European Union agreed today to impose sanctions on Iranian personalities for violating human rights.

The agency revealed that the type of sanctions includes freezing their assets and preventing travel, and this is the first of its kind against Iranian officials by the European Union since 2013.

According to news sources, the European Union is adding the names of new Iranian officials to the sanctions list and will extend the sanctions for another year.
