Turkey is preparing for a new military operation in the Kurdistan region

A military and strategic expert revealed On Tuesday, an imminent Turkish military operation in Iraqi lands.

Russian Radio "Sputnik" quoted the military and strategic expert Dr. Amir Al-Saadi as saying that "there are some understandings between Iraq and Turkey about the operations of the Turkish army in the Kurdistan Region because the Iraqi government is unable to deter the elements of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) on Iraqi soil. "

Al-Saadi continued by saying, "After the agreement between Baghdad and Erbil to neutralize all military forces and armed factions from their control of administrative and security affairs in the Sinjar region, which disappointed the PKK leaderships, and at the same time, this strengthened Turkey's position by following up and pursuing the existing party members in Iraq".

Al-Saadi added, "Turkey is still sending signals stating that it is ready to reinforce its military presence and that there is a possibility of a major operation to pursue the Workers' Party elements on Iraqi soil, so the Iraqi government is trying to reduce the impact of this Turkish intervention."
