The second deputy speaker of the Iraqi parliament, Bashir Al-Haddad, announced, on Tuesday, that the 2021 budget law has been referred to the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, for approval.
Al-Sabah newspaper quoted Al-Haddad as saying, "The Iraqi parliament referred today the 2021 Budget Law to the Presidency of the Republic for approval."
Last Wednesday, the Iraqi parliament voted to pass the 2021 budget of an estimated 130 trillion Iraqi dinars (89.65 billion dollars), at a time when the country is suffering from an economic and financial crisis due to low oil prices.
