The North Oil Company announced in a statement that two wells in the "Bai Hassan" field were subjected to acts of sabotage by planting two explosive devices inside them.

The statement added that the explosion did not result in the outbreak of fire, did not cause material or spiritual damage, and did not affect the production process.

The statement indicated that the security authorities have started an investigation into the accident.
