The Iranian Foreign Ministry announced that the foreign minister will visit Iraq tomorrow, Sunday.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh announced that Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif headed a delegation visiting Iraq.

Concerning the purpose of the visit, Khatibazadeh declared that the visit is to discuss issues related to the region and to consolidate relations between Iran and Iraq.

According to Khatibazadeh, the Iranian foreign minister is meeting with the Iraqi foreign minister and also meeting with prominent Iraqi officials to discuss the security situation and stability in the region.
