The Iraqi authorities announced on Monday, the start of the evacuation of stranded citizens in India. Because of the outbreak of the Coronavirus.
This came in a statement, today, by the director of Iraqi Airways, Kifah Hussain.
Hussein said: "The General Company of Iraqi Airways conducted, today, Monday, its first exceptional flights to India, which are designed to evacuate Iraqi citizens stranded there who have appealed to the ministry to return them to the homeland due to the difficult conditions they are exposed to as a result of the Corona pandemic."
He explained that "the flight took place after obtaining official approvals from the Iraqi and Indian authorities."
