For the purpose of preventing the further spread of the Coronavirus and at the request of Iran, the travel ban for tourists between Kurdistan Region and Iran has been extended for another 15 days.

The Information and Relations Official for the Bashmakh border crossing, Ismail Ali, announced that Iranian officials had informed us of extending the travel ban for tourists between Kurdistan Region and Iran for another 15 days, until June 20, 2021.

He indicated that crossing is only allowed for four cases, namely "students, Traders, patients, and residency holders."
