The statement, quoting Al-Kadhimi, added: "The visit comes within the framework of Iraq's efforts to consolidate a close relationship with the United States of America, based on the foundations of mutual respect and bilateral cooperation in various fields, to organize the security relationship between the two countries. based on the Iraqi national interest.
During the past two days, the fourth round of the strategic dialogue between Iraq and the United States was held, which discussed strengthening and developing bilateral cooperation in various fields, as well as the future of US forces on Iraqi soil.
It is expected that the United States will announce the termination of the missions of the combat forces in Iraq, and the replacement of military missions there and limiting them to the field of training and advisory.
