The Iraqi Ministry of Communications obtained approval to send the first satellite into space.

Raad al-Mashhadani, the spokesman for the Iraqi Ministry of Communications, revealed in a press conference that the Iraqi Minister of Communications, Arkan Shihab Shaibani, announced today at the second Iraqi electronic security conference that Iraq will send the first satellite into space soon.

Arkan Shihab Shaibani also indicated that this achievement was made with the support of Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhemi, who emphasized the development of technology in the field of communications.
