The Turkish Minister of Trade visits Baghdad and the Kurdistan Region to strengthen trade relations.
Today, Saturday, September 25, 2021, Turkish Trade Minister Mehmet Muş will visit Baghdad, and tomorrow, Sunday, he will visit the Kurdistan Region. Economic relations between Turkey and the Kurdistan Region, and opening a new border crossing will be discussed.
During his visit to the Kurdistan Region, the Turkish Minister of Trade participates in the Iraqi-Turkish Business Forum, during which he will meet with traders and Iraqi trade officials and the Kurdistan Region to discuss the issue of canceling the visa for Iraqi traders.
The volume of trade exchange between Iraq and Turkey during the past year amounted to 9 billion and 100 million dollars, and until the eighth month of this year, it amounted to 6 billion and 600 million dollars.
