After losing the elections, the leadership of the Gorran Movement submits its resignation

The leadership of the Gorran Movement announced, on Wednesday, its resignation from the leadership of the movement and its responsibility for the loss of the early Iraqi legislative elections.

The movement said in a brief statement, "The management cell in the Gorran Movement decided to take responsibility and submit the resignation, while at the same time forming a temporary body to manage the movement."

On the other hand, sources close to the movement confirmed that the general coordinator of the movement, Omar Sayed Ali, will submit his resignation.

The sources added, "There are demands for the withdrawal of the movement's representatives from the Kurdistan Regional Government and the local government in the Sulaymaniyah Governorate," noting that "after the formation of a temporary body to manage the movement, these issues will be discussed."
