A new technical malfunction affects Facebook and Instagram in 4 major countries

Downdetector, a website that monitors the work of Internet sites in the world, announced that the social networking platforms "Facebook" and "Instagram" have malfunctioned in a number of countries.

The site indicated, on Wednesday, that "the largest number of complaints were received from Britain, Germany and the United States, as users of Instagram recorded problems with the application and when connecting to the server, as well as when trying to access the site, and service malfunctions were reported in Russia."

"Smaller-scale failures in the functioning of the (Facebook) platform were observed in a number of countries, but no failures were reported in Russia," he added.

And social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) witnessed a global outage in early October that affected many other services.

The website stated, "The malfunction that afflicted the web for nearly six hours was due to a mistake made by the company's engineers."

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who changed her name to "Meta", had to publicly apologize for what happened.
