Kurdistan Islamic Union condemned the terrorist attacks launched by the terrorist organization ISIS on civilians in Makhmour.

A spokesman for the Kurdistan Islamic Union said in a statement to reporters, "We strongly condemn the terrorist attack carried out by ISIS terrorist elements near Makhmour district, which led to the martyrdom of 3 brothers from one family, in addition to the martyrdom of a number of Peshmerga forces."

"We offer our condolences to the families of the martyrs, and we wish a speedy recovery for the wounded of the attack," he added.

He called for "the necessity of reviewing the military capabilities of the Peshmerga forces so that they can repel the continuous attacks by ISIS elements."

He also called for "more coordination between the Peshmerga forces, the Iraqi forces, and the coalition forces to limit ISIS attacks, and cut off the road for ISIS elements to reorganize its ranks."
