The commander of the Iranian "Quds Force", Ismail Qaani, held on Monday, a meeting in the capital, Baghdad, with the leaders of the "Coordination Framework", who reject the results of the Iraqi parliamentary elections.

Anadolu news agency reported that Qaani met with the leaders of the coordination framework in Baghdad, with the aim of unifying positions with the Sadrist movement, regarding the formation of the next government.

The agency stated that the results of the meeting will be carried by Qaani to the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, who will hopefully meet him at his residence in the Najaf governorate in the south of the country.

There was no immediate comment from the "Coordination Framework", which announced on Sunday that it had decided to intensify its discussions with other political forces, to contain the political crisis in the country.
